When I bought my first Canon camera, the first lens I got was the Canon 17 - 85 IS. I have used it for more than one year on the old I liked its fast autofocus.
Have been using the 17 - 85 on a Canon Rebel XT but recently became the fortunate recipient of a Canon EOS 7D. Now my primary question is;.
A wider view at the short end of the focal length range, 15mm vs. Comparison of the EF-S 17 - 85 USM (left) and EF-S 15 - 85 USM.
Canon 15-85mm vs 17-85mm review - not
It will cover many people's ultra-wide angle and tele needs, and even if it doesn't, it will greatly reduce the number of lens changes they need to make. Too bad Canon has not declared and EF-S L glass yet. This often elevates my heart rate which makes it more difficult to hold the camera steady. I am grateful for your support! This number too is in line with the comparable lenses - it does not stand out in either direction - not great, not bad.
